We are Situated on the Piedra River, with Private Access for fishing or play. Piedra River Resort also offers Scenic Horse Back Excursions in the San Juan National Forest.
Our Story
Piedra River Resort has been a staple in the Pagosa Springs Area for over 80 years. We are Currently Owned by Stonepass Outfitters/Backcountry Outfitters out of Pagosa Springs.
All Cabins have been Recently Updated with Fresh interiors and comfortable surroundings. We hope you find our cabins relaxing with the opportunity for fun and adventure just around the corner.

We have Private River Access, and we are situated right on the edge of the San Juan National Forest. Perfect for Hikers, Hunters, Fisherman, or those who just love to explore.

Trail Rides are offered May 15th through September 1st and leave right from the Ranch. Cabin Guests have a discount of 10% off Trail Rides booked during their stay.

The Piedra River is known for it's amazing trout fishing. Remember to bring your pole and fishing license!

I had the best day at this beautiful little slice of heaven. We couldn’t have had a more cozy and comfortable experience. The rooms have everything you could need, kitchen, couch, tv, WiFi, and most importantly the beds were incredibly comfortable. My weekend wouldn’t have gone this way had we not had this luxury. The best part was one of the ranch dogs, who was the sweetest thing ever and he kept checking on me. This place felt like home and I cannot wait to come back next year, and hopefully I get the chance to go horse back riding! Thank you so much!
